Oh Say Can You See

Lovely lead-in in today's Free Lance Star. Newsworthy, attention getting books by a Marine Colonel (no disrespect intended, Sir) no doubt, would make an excellent gift to another like minded patriot. And, it's on the FRONT PAGE.

How about a little attention to the back page article? I'm sure this location was an oversight but SENATE PASSES HEALTH CARE BILL got my attention and it was on the BACK PAGE! This bill that was created in super secrecy, behind closed doors, with arm twisting coercion to some members of the Senate and an absolute pay off to others. Wonder what levee will not be repaired in Louisiana, huh Mary Landrieu? $300 mil can go a long way to pay off the people who helped her gain office.

This bill is not for the good of the people. It has nothing to do with the needs of the people. Did our health care need reform? Of course it did. Let me be ther first to add that IT STILL DOES!

Senators, Webb and Warner, what did you get out of this little package? Are we going to see more jobs created? Oh, and by the way, not everybody lined up for unemployment in the Great State of Virginia knows how to dig a ditch or fill a pothole so that "shovel-ready" crap just doesn't fly. Are we going to have fewer people on Medicare because of how the deal was diced? Are we going to add enough people to the new health care plan to flood our hospitals and doctors offices and create time lines as to who gets what service from them according to the dictates of a bunch of nimcompoop lawyers that can't refer to themselves as what they really are...professional politicians.

I'm just saying... wouldn't it have been a great idea to have this information on the FRONT PAGE to grab everybody's attention?

Frankly, I want public display of all electives, federal as well as local, voting record on the FRONT PAGE. I'll go further. I'd love to see the repeal of the 17th Amendment to the constitution!! You people need an office where your constituents can find you, call you, drop by to see you, talk to you, your staff, located in your state and hometowns where you were elected. This closed door thing is an abomination. Shame on you!!
